Summer Etude No. 4
There are two types of string crossing patterns used in the third movement of Vivaldi's Summer.
The First is rather simple if using a proper fingering. It requires the player to play 2 notes on a
string followed by 2 notes on the string directly below.The second requires the player to cross between
3 strings quickly over and over again.This etude incorporates the movements of both.
Included are optional variations for the eighth note pattern.
